This is a one-of-a-kind, custom-made Canon FTb QL 35mm film camera, transformed into a skeleton art piece.

The camera has been carefully disassembled and rebuilt to expose its inner mechanical beauty. Using brass spacers, the body is uniquely opened up to showcase its intricate design, giving it a stunning and industrial aesthetic.

The base is made from thermally modified wood (thermowood), a durable and eco-friendly material treated by heat instead of chemicals. This treatment enhances the wood’s resistance to moisture and decay, while preserving its natural look—making it both practical and sustainable.

Each piece is handcrafted in Japan, which means there may be slight imperfections, minor scratches, or asymmetry. These are not flaws, but rather part of the charm and character of a handmade art object.

This is a handcrafted art piece based on the Canon FTb QL film camera.
As it was manually disassembled and modified, minor scratches, marks, or slight asymmetry may be present. These are part of the unique character of handmade work.
